By submitting an entry to this contest, you agree to the following mandatory terms and conditions regarding the legal rights and usage of your photograph.

By submitting an entry to this contest, you agree to the following mandatory terms and conditions regarding the legal rights and usage of your photograph.


1. Copyright, Ownership, and Entrant’s Guarantees

This section outlines your rights as the photographer and the mandatory requirements for every submission.

  • Ownership Retention: You, the entrant, retain full and complete copyright to your submitted photograph. You may continue to use, display, and license your work for personal, portfolio, and commercial purposes without restriction from the Host.
  • Original Work: The photo must be your own original work and taken by you.
  • Rights to Submit: You must be the sole copyright owner or possess the unencumbered legal right to submit the work and grant the license below.
  • No Infringement: The photo must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
  • Required Permissions: You are solely responsible for obtaining and retaining valid model releases for any recognizable people and property releases for private property depicted. The Host reserves the right to request proof of these releases at any time.

2. Grant of License to the Host

By submitting a photo, you grant the Host a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute the photograph, free of charge, strictly for contest and community-related promotional purposes.

This license includes, but is not limited to, the following uses:

  • Contest Promotion: Promoting the current contest and all future contests (e.g., in promotional materials, advertisements, and calls for entry).
  • Website/Community Display: Displaying the photo on the Host’s and associated community websites, platforms, and social media channels to announce and celebrate the winners, finalists, and participants.
  • Archival Documentation: Internal, non-commercial documentation and archival of the contest.

Note: The Host will not use your image to advertise or promote any unrelated commercial product, service, or business activity of the Host or its partners.

You will be credited as the photographer wherever the photo is publicly displayed by the Host.
