This is a free event. All are welcome. We will enjoy the wonderful park and greenhouse known as Allan Gardens and then explore the neighbourhoods along downtown between Church and Yonge St. We will walk from Allan Gardens to Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University and wrap up at Yonge and Dundas Square. We encourage participants to also join our community and membership sites, Tdot.CC and Tdot Connect and follow @tdot_shots on Instagram. This evening walk will last approximately 2 hours. The photo walk will cover and include:
- Walk of the Allan Gardens park and neighbourhood
- Photography of the park and horticulture (the gardens, plants and flowers)
- Route from Allan Gardens to Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson U.)
- Visit to Image Centre photo gallery (time permitting)
- Final stop at Sankofa Square aka Yonge-Dundas Square
- Nature, street, and architectural photography
You do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! We look forward to welcoming you. Don’t miss this opportunity to network, shoot some unique spots, and enjoy the gardens, streets and architecture of downtown TO. Participants will have an opportunity to submit photos for potential inclusion in posts on our website and social channels. We will try to feature many of your images! Meeting location: on the day of the meetup we confirm the exact location and route with an email, that also includes tips and other updates.
