Holiday Photo Walk: Downtown Toronto

FREE • Sunday, December 6 • 3–5 PM • Downtown Toronto

Our last Tdot Shots photo walk of 2026! Join us for a festive afternoon of photography, city exploration and holiday lights.

Hello city explorers and photography enthusiasts! This is a FREE event, and everyone is welcome. Registration is required (RSVP). We also encourage participants to follow @tdot_shots on Instagram.

The holiday season is almost here, and downtown Toronto is getting dressed up for the occasion! Join us as we explore the Financial District and City Hall area, discovering seasonal decorations, illuminated trees, festive displays and some of our favourite downtown photography locations.

From daylight to holiday lights!

Our photo walk begins at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, and lasts approximately two hours. With sunset around 4:40 pm, we’ll experience the city in changing light, moving from afternoon into the colourful atmosphere of early evening.

This is a great opportunity to photograph architecture, street scenes, holiday decorations and illuminated displays. Whether you enjoy cityscapes, street photography or creative night shots, there will be plenty to explore.

Everyone is welcome!

You don’t need a professional camera. Many participants use smartphones, and our community members are happy to share photography tips and creative ideas.

Come for the photography, meet fellow creators, discover some unique locations and enjoy the holiday atmosphere in downtown TO!

A few extra ideas:

• Arrive early: Interested in skating? Bring your skates or check rental options at Nathan Phillips Square. Skating is weather and rink-condition dependent.
• Stay downtown: After the walk, consider exploring more holiday displays, cafés and attractions around the city centre.

Meeting location and route: Registered participants will receive an email on the day of the event confirming the exact meeting point, route, photography tips and any updates. Please make sure you register with an email address you check regularly.
