DESCRIPTION:Welcome to this special photo walk event that combines nature photography and landscape photography in beautiful High Park\, Toronto. Our host is Mike Simpson from Tdot Shots. \nDate and Time: 5:30 pm at High Park (location TBA via email) on May 23\, 2026 \nDuring this meetup we look at: \n\nSpring flowers and blooming trees of High Park\nThe Oak Meadows\, Hillside Gardens and Grenadier Pond\nNature photography & landscape photography\nCultural and environmental history in west end Toronto\n\nHigh Park is a fantastic place to explore the flora and fauna of the Greater Toronto Area including plants\, trees and animals typical of Southern Ontario. Learn about the special Black Oak Savannah ecosystem\, explore some of the lesser known trails\, and meet other nature photography enthusiasts on the walk. \nAll are welcome. You don’t need to have photography experience or a mirrorless/DSLR. Many participants bring a smartphone. \nMeeting location: The meeting spot is TBA\, you will receive a confirmation email by mid morning on the day of the event. SUMMARY:Art and Architecture in Downtown Toronto - Photo Walk Tour with Tdot Shots on May 30\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:This photo walk and walking tour is a favourite.  All are welcome. Our focus is on art and architecture in downtown Toronto. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately 2.5 hours. We limit the group to a max. of 15 people. Buy your ticket today – they will sell out. \nThe Toronto downtown features some amazing public art\, installation and sculpture. We also discuss the incredible architecture\, both classic and modern. This tour is led by Mike Simpson\, avid photographer\, art curator and urban wanderer. (Mike is the founder of Tdot Shots). \nSome highlights of the walk: \n\nSculptures\, Murals and Public Art\nUnion Station\nFinancial District (Brookfield Place\, TD Centre\, Commerce Court\, First Canadian Place)\nModernism\, Post-modernism\, Art Deco and Romanesque Revival architecture\nCity Hall (New and Old)\nOCAD university + AGO / Grange Park\nChinatown\n\nPreview the tour at our site Iconic Toronto. This walk is accessible. Bring comfortable shoes and and umbrella – we walk rain or shine. \nYou do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! This event will be an opportunity to network and learn more about the stories behind and the history of public art in Toronto. \nParticipants have a chance to have their photography featured on the Tdot Shots social and website. Build your portfolio and get feedback from your peers and the tour facilitator. \nMeeting location: The meeting spot is TBA\, you will receive a confirmation email by mid morning on the day of the event.
