Please sign up asap as tickets will go fast!\n\nJoin Tdot Shots and Mike Simpson for a captivating photo walk tour of the University of Toronto’s St. George campus. This event is a unique blend of a photography workshop and a guided historical tour\, perfect for anyone looking to capture stunning images while learning about the university’s rich history and architectural wonders. From the Gothic Revival of Hart House to the Romanesque Revival of University College\, the campus offers a diverse and visually rich setting for photographers of all skill levels and with any kind of equipment.\n\n\nOur tour will lead you through some of the campus’s most iconic and photogenic locations. We’ll explore architectural masterpieces like Victoria College\, St. Michael’s College\, and Soldiers’ Tower\, all of which have a fascinating history and provide endless photographic opportunities. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately 2.5 hours. We limit the group to a max. of 15 people. Buy your ticket today – they will sell out. \nThe Toronto downtown features some amazing public art\, installation and sculpture. We also discuss the incredible architecture\, both classic and modern. This tour is led by Mike Simpson\, avid photographer\, art curator and urban wanderer. (Mike is the founder of Tdot Shots). \nSome highlights of the walk: \n\nUnion Station\nFinancial District (Brookfield Place\, TD Centre\, Commerce Court\, First Canadian Place)\nModernism\, Post-modernism\, Art Deco and Romanesque Revival architecture\nCity Hall (New and Old)\nOCAD university + AGO / Grange Park\nChinatown / Spadina Ave\n\nPreview the tour at our site Iconic Toronto. Street and architectural photography will be our focus. \nAll can participate. You don’t need to have a professional camera – bring a smartphone\, compact\, mirrorless or DSLR. Our community will offer tips and you will have a chance to learn new techniques and meet new people. \nWe will centre our meetup on Church St between Bloor and Front St\, with a few small detours to explore the numerous churches\, parks and historic buildings in the neighbourhoods along the way.
