Our focus is on art\, culture\, history\, and particularly the photography of public art and architecture in downtown Toronto. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately 2.5 hours. We limit the group to a max. of 15 people. Buy your ticket today – they will sell out. \nThe Toronto downtown features some amazing public art\, installation and sculpture. We also discuss the incredible architecture\, both classic and modern. This tour is led by Mike Simpson\, avid photographer\, art curator and urban wanderer. (Mike is the founder of Tdot Shots). \nSome highlights of the walk: \n\nUnion Station\nFinancial District (Brookfield Place\, TD Centre\, Commerce Court\, First Canadian Place)\nModernism\, Post-modernism\, Art Deco and Romanesque Revival architecture\nCity Hall (New and Old)\nOCAD university + AGO / Grange Park\nChinatown / Spadina Ave\n\nPreview the tour at our site Iconic Toronto. This walk is accessible. Bring comfortable shoes and and umbrella – we walk rain or shine. \nYou do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! DESCRIPTION:Greetings. Many of you are members of our community site Tdot.cc and some of you are premium members of our training site Tdot.co aka Tdot Connect. Big thanks for supporting our endeavours!\nYou may be interested in receiving a reminder about our course launch for our new course “Mastering Visual Portfolios.” It starts online the week of Jan. 20\, 2025\, and the first lessons are free for everyone. You can optionally register for access to a site and feedback on your portfolio. \nBy registering here you are requesting a one-time reminder\, the day before course launch\, to receive updates on the course outline\, start date and what you need to participate. \nWho this course is for\nWe are targeting this course toward artists\, designers\, photographers and creators interested in developing design and marketing skills. You should have some kind of existing portfolio and you are looking to improve it\, expand it or build a new portfolio. As far as software goes\, this course is for beginners and intermediates. \nWhat you will learn\nThis six-week course is designed to help artists\, designers\, and photographers create impactful and professional visual portfolios. You’ll explore the history and evolution of portfolios\, understand modern formats\, and develop a personalized portfolio that highlights your unique style and best work.
