DESCRIPTION:Welcome. The Tdot Shots GTA photo community and friends are meeting up for this free photo walk to enjoy the ultimate Toronto spring blooms. Starting at Allan Gardens famous greenhouses and then strolling across downtown to the lovely Queens Park. This outing bookends two of the lushest natural spots in central Toronto. \nNeighbourhoods and Sightseeing on this walk\nAllan Gardens and Queen’s Park are first tier landmarks in the city perfect for locals and tourists alike to explore and enjoy. The stretch between them is a dynamic part of the urban core straddling the area of the east side  Downtown Yonge BIA\, and the central government-university-hospital row adjacent University Ave. \nPhoto Walk Meetups\nOur meetups are fun events with an emphasis on enjoying shooting new spots\, learning a bit from other creators\, and exploring the city. This event is open to all. Bring your comfortable shoes and your best camera. \nEvent time and route\n4 pm – 6:30 pm Saturday May 9\nMeet at SW corner of Carlton and Sherbourne.\nMap link: https://share.google/LC2WHx5qxeZWxfLuT\nAllan Gardens closes at 5 pm so be sure to arrive on time. The walk will take about 2 or 2.5 hours. This is an accessible 2 km route across Carlton Street and College Street. DESCRIPTION:This meetup is for photographers\, fans of art and city explorers. All are welcome. Our focus is on art\, culture\, history\, and particularly the photography of public art and architecture in downtown Toronto. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately 2.5 hours. We limit the group to a max. of 12 people. \nThe Toronto downtown features some amazing public art\, installation and sculpture. We also discuss the incredible architecture\, both classic and modern. This tour is led by Mike Simpson\, avid photographer\, art curator and urban wanderer. Thank you. \nOur first meetup of 2025 is at the lovely U of T campus in downtown Toronto. The university’s St. George campus is historic and centrally located\, easy to get to and chock full of architectural gems. The date is Sunday Feb. 9. \nFebruary can be pretty frozen and chilly but this walk is pretty magical with cold and snow. The university campus offers lots of incredible architectural and cityscape views\, cultural and historical notes\, and plenty of spots to gather for little chats about the school and photography. We have hosted a February walk since our first one at the U of T back in February 2023. \n\nAll are welcome to attend.
