Public Art Photo Walk Tour in Downtown Toronto April 27, 2024

This meetup is for photographers, fans of art and city explorers. All are welcome. Our focus is on art, culture, history, and particularly the photography of public art in downtown west Toronto. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately two hours. We limit the group to a total of 15 people.

The Toronto downtown features some amazing public art, installation and sculpture. We also look at the incredible architecture. This tour is led by Mike Simpson, avid photographer, art curator and urban wanderer. (Mike is the founder of Tdot Shots).

Some highlights of the walk:

• Union Station
• Financial District
• City Hall
• AGO / Grange Park
• Chinatown / Spadina Ave

You do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! This event will be an opportunity to network and learn more about the stories behind and the history of public art in Toronto.

Participants have a chance to have their photography featured on the Tdot Shots social and website. Build your portfolio and get feedback from your peers and the tour facilitator.

Meeting location: The meeting spot is TBA, you will receive a confirmation email by noon on the day of the event. Please add [email protected] to your address book. We usually email you by noon with tips and updates.

There is a fee of $9 to attend this photo walk & walking tour. You can pay via this site. After purchase an email is sent with a confirmation. If you don’t receive this email please contact us. Note the rain date in case of extreme weather is the following day, Sunday April 28.
