Hey there. Welcome to our announcement post for the new event season. In this post I’ll tell you about our recently announced photo walks and tours, and give you a hint as to what else we’ll offer this season.
Fall is such a beautiful time of year to wander and explore the streets of Toronto. The changing leaves are spectacular and temperatures are cooler. It’s vivid and comfortable and what better way to celebrate this dynamic time of year than with some group meetups and walking tours?
Let’s get started. Autumn is the best time of year and our favourite event season! 🍁

Allan Gardens and Downtown Yonge – Sat. Oct 19 (sunset)
We introduced this photo walk in the past two years and always enjoy the rih variety of sights and photo opportunities we find in this neighbourhood.
Starting at the beautiful downtown park known as Allen Gardens, with its famous conservatory, we walk south toward Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and Dundas Square. Lots of great natural areas along with architecture and history here. Be sure to join us for this free event by registering at this site.
Rouge Park – Sun. Oct 20 (sunrise)
This event is part of our seasonal membership special. You are buying a community membership and it includes access to our event at Rouge Park with guest leader Chris Noronha, one of the GTA’s best landscape photographers. Cost is $10 for the membership and this gets you a spot in the event.
Register at tdot.cc and book your spot today.
Chris shares tips and suggestions regarding photography settings, techniques and artistic approaches to composition and editing. You can learn, network and enjoy the great outdoors on this special day.
Note: we expect fall colours to be nearing peak at this time of the season but we can’t make any guarantees. Keep an open mind as fall may take its time or reach peak colour before or after our events.
U of T – Sat. Oct. 26 (sunset)
The university is always one of our favourite spots. It’s a gem in the centre of the city and the fall colours are always so special here. We often see a range of yellows, oranges and reds among the maples and other trees that dot the large St. George campus.
We will discuss architecture, history and culture as we explore the downtown U of T. Be sure to register at tdot.cc if you would like to join us. This is a free event but we ask that you kindly RSVP.
Humber Bay Light Painting – Sun. Oct. 27 (sunset)
This event is also tied to our membership special. Join us for a very unique and creative shooting experience and also get access to the participants discussion and our course site.
Event co-leader, Scott Visscher is one of the Toronto area’s foremost light painting and steel wool innovators, seeking special night time perspectives and exposures. Every time we do this we get a fresh set of pics that are great for your portfolio and for keeping you pumped on photography and exploring experimental setups and photo techniques.
Cost for this event is $12 which includes the community -level membership for our sites, access to discussion board and covers the cost of materials.
