Art and Architecture in Downtown Toronto – Photo Walk Tour with Tdot Shots on May 30, 2026

This photo walk and walking tour is a favourite.  All are welcome. Our focus is on art and architecture in downtown Toronto. The walk takes place before sunset and will last approximately 2.5 hours. We limit the group to a max. of 15 people. Buy your ticket today – they will sell out.

The Toronto downtown features some amazing public art, installation and sculpture. We also discuss the incredible architecture, both classic and modern. This tour is led by Mike Simpson, avid photographer, art curator and urban wanderer. (Mike is the founder of Tdot Shots).

Some highlights of the walk:

• Union Station
• Financial District (Brookfield Place, TD Centre, Commerce Court, First Canadian Place)
• Modernism, Post-modernism, Art Deco and Romanesque Revival architecture
• City Hall (New and Old)
• OCAD university + AGO / Grange Park
• Chinatown

Preview the tour at our site Iconic Toronto. This walk is accessible. Bring comfortable shoes and and umbrella – we walk rain or shine.

You do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! This event will be an opportunity to network and learn more about the stories behind and the history of public art in Toronto.

Participants have a chance to have their photography featured on the Tdot Shots social and website. Build your portfolio and get feedback from your peers and the tour facilitator.

There is a fee of $9 to attend this photo walk & walking tour.  Please note the rain date in case of extreme weather is the following day, Sunday May 31.
