About my Toronto Street Photography

Hey!  Garrett Campbell here!  I’m a hipster kid and an urbanista at heart.  I love the rhythm when commerce and old buildings come together, coupled with rainy days, umbrellas and streetcars.  The streetcars hold a sort of romantic allure for me, both riding them and photographing them.  

And, autumn is a great time of year for me …. very ‘earthy’, so to speak.  The appetite comes back in full force and the combination of the crisp air and older buildings stir up my creative energies.  Not too mention, Halloween and my birthday!  

As an avid artist and photographer, Toronto presents me the opportunity to capture these types of moments and express myself through this medium.  Also, as a big ethnic foodie, I also love to shoot shop fronts, especially indie places.  I aim to capture this hearty, earthy experience in my art.

Some of my favourite neighbourhoods to shoot and to explore in would be (but not limited to) –

Kensington Market, Chinatown, The Annex, Old Town Toronto/St. Lawrence Market, The Old Financial District, Downtown East
