Welcome

Welcome to the page supporting the landscape photography photo walk on Oct. 20 with photographer Chris Noronha and Tdot Shots.

Location: We will meet at a location TBA. A link to a Google map will be emailed the day before.
Time: We start at 7:30 AM which is when parking officially opens. Any instructional information will not start until after 8:00 AM to account for late arrivals. You may want to arrive between 7:00 and 7:15 to catch the blue hour light which is often pretty special.
Parking: There is public parking but note there is a charge to park.

Hey everyone! Looking forward to this adventure with Chris next weekend. Should be fun and educational. 🙂

My question for Chris is how much gear do you typically carry on a shoot that involves some walking and hiking? Do you always lug the tripod? Do you have a second or third lens in your bag? Any tips would be welcome!

Nice to meet you all and cheers for signing up and supporting the Tdot Create community and Tdot Shots, and for supporting Chris Noronha.

Hey Mike! Great questions. I tend to overpack as there have been far too many time where I needed a lens or filter (etc) that I forgot to pack. Although, lately I’ve been forcing myself to pack lighter as my back isn’t what it used to be. LOL

A good rule of thumb is to pack what you can comfortably carry, based on the distance of the hike. There’s nothing worse than not being able to focus on photography because you’re uncomfortable.

My tripod is always with me. Since I mostly shoot landscapes, I tend to shoot multiple exposures and focal lengths of a specific scene. The tripod helps keep everything steady and allows me to work with multiple exposures more easily in post.

      Hope that helps!
